UPO6000LP-AUTO Automotive Serial Bus Trigger and Decode Option (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, SENT)
Overview
The UPO6000LP-AUTO unlocks all five automotive trigger and decode options on your UPO6000LP Series oscilloscope in one license: CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay and SENT.
Why it matters: a vehicle is not one bus. A single fault can pass from a SENT sensor to an ECU, onto CAN-FD, and out to a LIN actuator. With four decoders running at once, the UPO6000LP can show several of those networks side by side on one timebase, so you can follow a message across gateways instead of debugging each bus in isolation. The bundle costs less than buying the five licenses separately.
The option is enabled by a software license keyed to the oscilloscope's serial number and is permanent for the life of the instrument.

- CAN and CAN-FD — Classic CAN to 5 Mbps and CAN-FD with data phase to 8 Mbps, with frame, ID, data and error triggers including bit-stuff and CRC errors.
- LIN and FlexRay — LIN v1.x/v2.x with sync, parity and checksum error triggers; FlexRay at up to 10 Mbps on channel A or B with header and frame CRC error triggers.
- SENT — SAE J2716 fast and slow channels, including short and enhanced serial messages and CRC error triggers.
- Cross-Bus Correlation — Run up to four decoders at once and export each event list as CSV, HTML or PDF.
- Lifetime License Activation — activate once, owned for the life of the instrument. No subscriptions, no renewals, no maintenance fees.
When You Need This Option
The option fits the following workflows:
- Gateway and ECU Integration — Follow a signal from a SENT sensor through a CAN-FD gateway to a LIN actuator on one capture and see the timing between each hop.
- Vehicle Test Benches — A 1U rack-mount scope in a HIL or end-of-line test rack that must handle whatever bus the next programme uses.

This option is compatible with all UPO6000LP Series oscilloscopes: UPO6034LP (350 MHz, 4 ch), UPO6038LP (350 MHz, 8 ch), UPO6054LP (500 MHz, 4 ch), UPO6058LP (500 MHz, 8 ch), UPO6104LP (1 GHz, 4 ch) and UPO6108LP (1 GHz, 8 ch).

Should I buy this individually or get a bundle?
This is the automotive bundle — it replaces buying CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay and SENT separately. If you also need audio, aerospace or Manchester decoding, UPO6000LP-BND covers every optional serial bus.
How is this option activated?
Buy the option key from your UNI-T distributor, then enter the key and the oscilloscope's serial number on the License Activation page of the UNI-T website to generate a license file. Copy the file to the root of a USB drive and activate it under Utility > Options. The Options screen then lists the option as Activated, with a duration of Permanent.
Can I try it first, and is the license permanent?
Yes to both. Every UPO6000LP option includes a 540-hour trial on the instrument, so you can prove it on your own hardware before you buy. Once activated, the license is permanent for the life of the oscilloscope — no subscriptions, no renewals and no expiration.
