UNI-T Warranty Policy
Uni-Trend US stands behind every product we sell. Our warranty coverage varies by product category and applies to products purchased from Uni-Trend US or an authorized US/Canada-based distributor.
Test Instruments — 3+2 Year Warranty
All UNI-T bench test instruments purchased in North America include a 3-year standard limited warranty against manufacturer defects. When you register your product (free), you receive an additional 2 years — for a total of 5 years of warranty coverage.
This applies to:
- Digital oscilloscopes (all series)
- Spectrum analyzers
- Waveform/signal generators
- RF signal generators
- DC power supplies (linear and switching)
- DC electronic loads
- Benchtop digital multimeters
- Digital power meters
Other manufacturers charge for extended warranties. UNI-T provides it free — because we trust our products and want you to, as well.
Meters & Accessories — 1-Year Warranty
Handheld meters, clamp meters, thermal imagers, probes, test leads, and all accessories include a 1-year standard limited warranty against manufacturer defects from the date of purchase.
This applies to:
- Handheld digital multimeters
- Clamp meters
- Insulation resistance testers
- Ground resistance testers
- LCR meters
- Infrared thermometers
- Thermal imaging cameras
- HVAC meters
- Battery testers
- Solar testers
- All probes, test leads, and accessories
What's Covered
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions. This includes:
- Component failures not caused by misuse, abuse, or unauthorized modification
- Manufacturing defects that affect product function or safety
- Premature wear of components under normal operating conditions
What's Not Covered
- Damage from misuse, abuse, neglect, or unauthorized modification
- Damage from use outside the product's rated specifications
- Normal wear and tear (probes, test leads, fuses, batteries)
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
- Damage caused by use with non-approved accessories
- Products purchased from unauthorized sellers
- Software products (all software sales are final)
How to Register Your Instrument
To activate the extended +2 year warranty on test instruments, register your product here. Registration is free and only takes a minute. You'll need your product model number and serial number.
Registration must be completed within 30 days of purchase to qualify for the warranty extension.
How to File a Warranty Claim
- Contact us at Support@uni-trendus.com or call 888-668-UniT (8648) to describe the issue.
- Provide your proof of purchase (order number or receipt) and product serial number.
- Our support team will troubleshoot with you to confirm the issue and determine if warranty service is needed.
- If a return is required, we'll provide a prepaid shipping label and an RMA number. Ship the product to our service center in Fort Worth, TX.
- We'll repair or replace the product and ship it back to you at no charge.
Typical warranty turnaround time is 5–10 business days after we receive the product.
Important Notes
- This warranty applies only to products purchased from Uni-Trend US (uni-trendus.com) or an authorized US/Canada-based distributor.
- Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, international marketplaces, or outside of North America are not covered by this warranty. If your product is not listed on uni-trendus.com, it is not supported here.
- Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
- Uni-Trend US reserves the right to repair or replace the product at our discretion.
- Replacement products may be new or refurbished to like-new condition.
