UTS7000A-AMK Advanced Measurement Kit Option for UTS7000A Series
Overview
UTS7000A-AMK is the advanced measurement kit software-license option for the UTS7000A signal analyzer platform. The license adds a set of one-touch power and spectral measurements for routine RF characterization work — third-order intermodulation (TOI), occupied bandwidth (OBW), channel power, adjacent-channel power ratio (ACPR), carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR), harmonic analysis, time-domain power, and spectrum monitoring with waterfall plot.
Each measurement is presented as a dedicated measurement screen rather than as a manual sequence of marker placements. The license is purchased against the chassis serial number, installed via the chassis Option Install menu, and is permanent for the life of the instrument.
Key Features
- Channel Power measurement — Channel power and power integral density
- T-power (time-domain power) — Zero-sweep time-integral power
- Occupied Bandwidth (OBW) — Occupancy power and transmission frequency error
- Adjacent Channel Power (ACPR) — Main channel power, left and right adjacent channel power and power ratio
- Carrier-to-Noise Ratio (CNR) — Carrier power and noise power outputs
- Third Order Intermodulation (TOI) — Automatic search based on dual-tone peak
- Harmonic analysis — Up to 10 harmonics maximum
- Spectrum monitoring with waterfall plot — Long-duration spectrum capture with time history
- Lifetime License Activation — activate once, owned for the life of the instrument. No subscriptions, no renewals, no maintenance fees.

When You Need This Option
The option fits the following measurement workflows:
- Production-floor RF characterization — One-touch channel power, ACPR, and OBW measurements for repeatable per-unit verification on manufacturing test stations, replacing manual marker-placement sequences.
- Transmitter spectral compliance — ACPR, OBW, and TOI measurements for transmitter pre-compliance to spectral-mask requirements before scheduled regulatory testing.
- Receiver and amplifier linearity characterization — Two-tone TOI measurement for third-order intercept point on RF amplifiers, mixers, and complete receiver front ends.
- Long-duration spectrum monitoring — Waterfall-plot spectrum monitoring for intermittent signal capture, interference characterization, and frequency-occupancy studies.
- Harmonic distortion characterization — Up to 10-harmonic analysis for transmitter and amplifier harmonic-distortion qualification.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the AMK measurements available as one-touch screens or as marker sequences?
Each measurement in the AMK option is presented as a dedicated measurement screen with standing numeric and graphical readouts. The screens replace the manual marker-placement workflow that the same measurements would require on the base spectrum-analyzer mode.
Does AMK include modulation analysis (EVM, constellation)?
No. AMK covers power, spectral occupancy, and nonlinear measurements. For modulation analysis with constellation and EVM, the UTS7000A-VSA (general-purpose digital modulation), UTS7000A-FDD-LTE, UTS7000A-TDD-LTE, and UTS7000A-NR options cover the respective modulation-analysis use cases.
How is the license installed?
The license is purchased against the chassis serial number, registered on the UNI-T website to obtain the license file, and installed via the chassis Option Install menu using a USB storage device. Refer to the chassis User Manual for the full step-by-step procedure.
Is the license permanent, or does it require renewal?
The license is permanent — a one-time purchase that remains active for the life of the instrument. There are no subscription fees, no annual renewals, and no expiration date.
Can the option be installed on a UTS7000A–NB narrow-band chassis?
Yes. Measurement function options install on all UTS7000A chassis variants including the narrow-band (–NB) configurations. The option installs and operates independently of the chassis bandwidth configuration.
