UTS7000A-TDD-LTE LTE TDD Demodulation Analysis Option for UTS7000A Series

Overview

UTS7000A-TDD-LTE is the 3GPP LTE TDD demodulation analysis software-license option for the UTS7000A signal analyzer platform. The license adds time-division-duplex LTE demodulation for both uplink and downlink signals, with per-resource-block EVM, frame and slot synchronization, PDSCH and PUSCH characterization, OFDM signal analysis, and per-channel parameter tables.

TDD-LTE operates as a dedicated measurement mode on the chassis. Pre-defined test models (TM1.1, TM2, TM2a, TM2b, TM3.1, TM3.1a, TM3.1b, TM3.2, TM3.3) provide downlink reference configurations. System bandwidths from 1.4 MHz through 20 MHz are supported, with TDD-specific uplink-downlink configurations 0 through 6. The license is purchased against the chassis serial number, installed via the chassis Option Install menu, and is permanent for the life of the instrument.

Key Features

  • 3GPP LTE TDD demodulation β€” Uplink and downlink demodulation with per-resource-block EVM
  • System bandwidths β€” 1.4, 3, 5, 10, 15, and 20 MHz
  • TDD uplink-downlink configurations β€” 0 through 6 (full 3GPP-defined TDD frame structure set)
  • Pre-defined downlink test models β€” TM1.1, TM2, TM2a, TM2b, TM3.1, TM3.1a, TM3.1b, TM3.2, TM3.3
  • Pre-defined uplink test modes β€” FRC Test Mode, PUCCH Test Mode
  • Channel coverage β€” Downlink: CRS, PSS, SSS, PCFICH, PDCCH, PHICH, PBCH, PDSCH; Uplink: PUCCH, PUSCH, SRS
  • Up to 4-antenna MIMO support β€” 1, 2, or 4 total antennas selectable
  • Lifetime License Activation β€” activate once, owned for the life of the instrument. No subscriptions, no renewals, no maintenance fees.

What LTE TDD Demodulation Adds

When You Need This Option

The option fits the following measurement workflows:

  • LTE TDD base-station development β€” Per-resource-block EVM and channel-power characterization on TDD eNB downlink signals across the 3GPP-defined system bandwidths and TDD configurations.
  • LTE TDD UE characterization β€” Uplink PUCCH and PUSCH demodulation, including SRS signal analysis, on user-equipment development boards for TDD-band markets.
  • TDD-LTE band 38, 39, 40, 41 RF qualification β€” Modulation quality (EVM, frequency error) and channel-power characterization on TDD-LTE band PAs, filters, and front-end modules used in mainland-China, India, and global TDD-band networks.
  • Sub-frame and special-subframe verification β€” Configuration-0 through configuration-6 sub-frame structure verification on TDD-LTE deployments where the special subframe pattern affects sync and overall throughput.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this option also cover LTE FDD signals?

No. The UTS7000A-TDD-LTE license covers TDD duplexing only. For FDD signals, the UTS7000A-FDD-LTE option provides the equivalent measurement mode for frequency-division-duplex LTE. The two options are independently licensed.

Does this option include 5G NR support?

No. The license covers LTE TDD demodulation per 3GPP. For 5G NR (FR1) demodulation, the UTS7000A-NR option provides the dedicated measurement mode.

How is the license installed?

The license is purchased against the chassis serial number, registered on the UNI-T website to obtain the license file, and installed via the chassis Option Install menu using a USB storage device. Refer to the chassis User Manual for the full step-by-step procedure.

Is the license permanent, or does it require renewal?

The license is permanent β€” a one-time purchase that remains active for the life of the instrument. There are no subscription fees, no annual renewals, and no expiration date.

Can the option be installed on a UTS7000A–NB narrow-band chassis?

Yes. Measurement function options install on all UTS7000A chassis variants including the narrow-band (–NB) configurations. The option installs and operates independently of the chassis bandwidth configuration.
