UPO6000LP-MIL1553 Aerospace Serial Bus Trigger and Analysis Option (MIL-STD-1553)
Overview
The UPO6000LP-MIL1553 adds MIL-STD-1553B triggering and decoding to your UPO6000LP Series oscilloscope. It decodes command, status and data words — as individual words or as data blocks — and can trigger on any field of a command or status word, down to the individual status bits.
Why it matters: 1553 is the command-and-response bus in military and aerospace platforms, and a terminal that answers late, sets the wrong status bit or produces a Manchester error can take a subsystem off the bus. Decoding the words in context with the analog waveform lets you prove a remote terminal's behavior and its electrical quality at the same time.
The option is enabled by a software license keyed to the oscilloscope's serial number and is permanent for the life of the instrument.

This option is compatible with all UPO6000LP Series oscilloscopes: UPO6034LP (350 MHz, 4 ch), UPO6038LP (350 MHz, 8 ch), UPO6054LP (500 MHz, 4 ch), UPO6058LP (500 MHz, 8 ch), UPO6104LP (1 GHz, 4 ch) and UPO6108LP (1 GHz, 8 ch).

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I buy this individually or get a bundle?
If 1553 is the only optional protocol you need, this license covers exactly that. Aerospace work often needs ARINC 429 as well; UPO6000LP-BND includes both, plus every other optional serial bus on the UPO6000LP.
How is this option activated?
Buy the option key from your UNI-T distributor, then enter the key and the oscilloscope's serial number on the License Activation page of the UNI-T website to generate a license file. Copy the file to the root of a USB drive and activate it under Utility > Options. The Options screen then lists the option as Activated, with a duration of Permanent.
Can I try it first, and is the license permanent?
Yes to both. Every UPO6000LP option includes a 540-hour trial on the instrument, so you can prove it on your own hardware before you buy. Once activated, the license is permanent for the life of the oscilloscope — no subscriptions, no renewals and no expiration.
