UPO6000LP-AUDIO Audio Serial Bus Trigger and Analysis Option (I2S, LJ, RJ, TDM)
Overview
The UPO6000LP-AUDIO adds digital audio bus triggering and decoding to your UPO6000LP Series oscilloscope, covering standard I²S, left-justified, right-justified and TDM formats. You assign the bit clock, word select, data and (for TDM) frame sync to analog channels, set the word length from 4 to 32 bits, and the scope decodes each sample by channel.
Why it matters: in audio hardware, most faults are framing faults — a one-bit offset between WS and data, the wrong justification, a TDM slot mapped to the wrong channel. Each of these produces sound that is quiet, noisy or swapped rather than silent, and they are very hard to find by listening. Decoding the bus shows you the actual sample values and exactly where each frame starts.
The option is enabled by a software license keyed to the oscilloscope's serial number and is permanent for the life of the instrument.

This option is compatible with all UPO6000LP Series oscilloscopes: UPO6034LP (350 MHz, 4 ch), UPO6038LP (350 MHz, 8 ch), UPO6054LP (500 MHz, 4 ch), UPO6058LP (500 MHz, 8 ch), UPO6104LP (1 GHz, 4 ch) and UPO6108LP (1 GHz, 8 ch).

Should I buy this individually or get a bundle?
If audio is the only optional protocol you need, this license covers exactly that. UPO6000LP-BND unlocks every optional serial bus on the UPO6000LP, including the automotive and aerospace sets.
How is this option activated?
Buy the option key from your UNI-T distributor, then enter the key and the oscilloscope's serial number on the License Activation page of the UNI-T website to generate a license file. Copy the file to the root of a USB drive and activate it under Utility > Options. The Options screen then lists the option as Activated, with a duration of Permanent.
Can I try it first, and is the license permanent?
Yes to both. Every UPO6000LP option includes a 540-hour trial on the instrument, so you can prove it on your own hardware before you buy. Once activated, the license is permanent for the life of the oscilloscope — no subscriptions, no renewals and no expiration.
