MSO6000HDP-CTS100 100BASE-TX Ethernet Compliance Analysis Option
Overview
The MSO6000HDP-CTS100 runs automated 100BASE-TX Ethernet physical-layer compliance tests on an MSO6000HDP Series oscilloscope.
Each test sets up the oscilloscope automatically, shows how to connect it to the device under test, and records the result against the limit.
The option is enabled by a software license keyed to the oscilloscope's serial number and is permanent for the life of the instrument.
What It Tests
Tests follow IEEE 802.3-2018 Clause 25 and ANSI X3.263-1995: AOI template, AOI rise and fall time and their symmetry, overshoot, peak differential output voltage and amplitude symmetry, duty cycle distortion, and transmitter jitter. MDI return loss is planned for a later release.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this option activated?
Buy the option from your UNI-T distributor with the oscilloscope's serial number. You receive a license certificate; register it on the License Activation page of the UNI-T website with the instrument serial number to get the license file. Copy the file to the root of a USB drive, connect it to the oscilloscope and install it from the Option Install menu. Utility > Options then shows the option as Activated, with a trial duration of Permanent.
Can I try it first, and is the license permanent?
Yes to both. Every MSO6000HDP option includes a 540-hour trial on the instrument. Once activated, the license is permanent for the life of the oscilloscope.
Do I need anything besides the option?
