MSO8000HD-SPMI Power Management Serial Option
Overview
The MSO8000HD-SPMI adds SPMI (System Power Management Interface) protocol decode to your MSO8000HD Series oscilloscope β a MIPI protocol for mobile processor-to-PMIC communication.
SPMI controls voltage regulators, battery charging, and power sequencing in mobile devices. Decode reveals register accesses driving the power architecture.
Key Features
- SPMI Decoding β Command sequences, register read/write, master/slave transactions.
- Triggering β Trigger on slave addresses, register addresses, data values, or command types.
- Multi-Master Support β Identifies transactions from multiple bus masters.
- Error Detection β Bus contention, parity errors, protocol violations.
- Software License Activation β License key applied through the instrument menu. No hardware changes, no downtime β enter the key and start decoding.
When You Need This
PMIC Bring-Up
PMIC not configuring correctly. Decode SPMI to verify register writes during power-up sequence.
Power Sequencing
Intermittent boot failures. Capture SPMI during boot to find which register write fails.
