    UTS-EMI02 9 kHz–50 MHz Near-Field Probe Kit

    Overview

    The UTS-EMI02 is a three-probe magnetic near-field kit covering 9 kHz to 50 MHz, for finding where interference comes from on a board, cable or enclosure. Used with a spectrum analyzer, the probes show magnetic field strength over components, coupling paths and leakage around a case.

    It covers the band below the UTS-EMI01 (30 MHz to 3 GHz): the region where switching-supply fundamentals and their low harmonics sit.

    UTS-EMI02 Details

    Connecting the kit

    Connect the SMB end of the cable to the probe and the SMA end to the adaptor, then fit the adaptor's N connector to the spectrum analyzer's RF input. Hold the probe close to the device under test without touching it, and watch the placement direction of the loop as you scan.
