UNI-T UT673PV Solar MPPT PV Meter
Overview
The UT673PV is a purpose-built solar diagnostic that finds a panel's maximum power point and reads the numbers that tell you whether it's performing: maximum power from 5 W to 800 W, open-circuit voltage and peak-power voltage from 12 V to 60 V, and short-circuit and peak-power current from 0 A to 35 A. It connects through integrated MC4 connectors and is powered by the panel under test β no batteries to charge.
A manual MPPT test, a data-hold function, and a large color LCD make field readings quick, and built-in protections (reverse polarity, overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, overpower) guard the meter in real installations. The compact 143 Γ 74 Γ 25 mm body fits a pocket. It's backed by UNI-T's nearly 40 years of test-meter manufacturing.

UT673PV Details
Maximum Power Point on the Spot
The UT673PV runs a manual MPPT test to find where a panel delivers its most power, reading maximum power from 5 W to 800 W. That single figure tells you quickly whether a panel or string is performing or losing output to shading, soiling, or degradation.
The Full PV Picture
Beyond peak power, the meter reads open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current (12β60 V, 0β35 A) β the values that diagnose a panel against its nameplate and pinpoint why output is low.
Battery-Free, MC4-Ready
Powered directly by the panel under test, the UT673PV never needs charging, and integrated MC4 connectors plug straight into standard solar leads without adapters β practical for moving down a string in the field.
Protected & Pocketable
Reverse-polarity, overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, and overpower protection guard the meter in real installations, and a 143 Γ 74 Γ 25 mm body with a data-hold function keeps it quick and portable.
Applications
Solar PV installation commissioning; panel and string performance checks; preventive-maintenance and O&M surveys; and incoming or quality inspection of photovoltaic modules.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the UT673PV need batteries?
No β it is powered directly by the solar panel being tested.
What does it measure?
Maximum power (5β800 W), open-circuit and peak-power voltage (12β60 V), and short-circuit and peak-power current (0β35 A), plus a manual MPPT test.
How does it connect to panels?
Through integrated MC4 connectors, so it plugs into standard solar leads without adapters.
