UPO6000HD-AUTO Automotive Serial Bus Trigger and Decode Option (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, SENT)
Overview
The UPO6000HD-AUTO adds the five automotive buses to a UPO6000HD Series oscilloscope in one license: CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay and SENT.
Each protocol triggers on frames, IDs, data and error conditions, and decodes alongside the analog waveforms on the same timebase.
The option is enabled by a software license keyed to the oscilloscope's serial number and is permanent for the life of the instrument.
Key Features
- CAN and CAN-FD β triggers on start, data, remote, error and overload frames, ID, data, end of frame, missing ACK, bit and CRC errors; 10 kbps to 5 Mbps arbitration rates and CAN-FD data rates to 8 Mbps.
- LIN β sync, ID, data, wake, sleep and error triggers; v1.x and v2.x; 1.2 kbps to 20 kbps.
- FlexRay β start, indicators, ID, cycle, header, data, end frame and error triggers at 2.5, 5 or 10 Mbps.
- SENT β fast-channel and slow-channel (short and enhanced) triggers, including CRC and pulse errors.
- Decode workflow β Decoding runs on up to four buses at once from any analog channel, while running, stopped or recording, with an event list, search and CSV, HTML or PDF export.
When You Need This Option
- ECU, body-electronics and sensor development.
- Vehicle network debugging where CAN, LIN and SENT share one harness.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this option activated?
Buy the option key from your UNI-T distributor with the oscilloscope's serial number. Enter the key and serial number on the License Activation page of the UNI-T website to generate a license file, copy it to the root of a USB drive and activate it under Utility > Options. The Options screen then shows the option as Activated, with a trial duration of Permanent.
Can I try it first, and is the license permanent?
Yes to both. Every UPO6000HD option includes a 540-hour trial on the instrument. Once activated, the license is permanent for the life of the oscilloscope.
