The MSO7000X-BW-10T20 upgrades your MSO7104X from 1GHz to 2GHz bandwidth — capturing faster edges and higher-frequency content without replacing the instrument. The upgrade is a software license key; the hardware already supports 2GHz.
A 1GHz oscilloscope faithfully reproduces signals up to roughly 1GHz. Clock signals, digital buses, or switching transients with content above that are attenuated — rounded edges, reduced amplitude. Upgrading to 2GHz gives you the headroom to see what's actually happening.
