MSO6000HDP-JITTER Jitter and Eye Diagram Analysis Option
Overview
The MSO6000HDP-JITTER adds eye diagram and jitter analysis to an MSO6000HDP Series oscilloscope, for clock and serial-data signal integrity in the time, frequency and statistical domains.
Deep memory gives each analysis many unit intervals, which makes the jitter statistics more reliable.
The option is enabled by a software license keyed to the oscilloscope's serial number and is permanent for the life of the instrument.
Key Features
- Sources — any analog channel or a math waveform.
- Clock recovery — fixed frequency (auto or user-set) or first- and second-order PLL.
- Jitter measurements — TIE, TJ@BER, RJ, DJ, PJ, DDJ, DCD, cycle-to-cycle and cycle jitter.
- Views — TIE histogram, TIE trend, TIE spectrum and bathtub curve.
- Eye parameters — eye amplitude, height and width, 1-level, 0-level, Q-factor, crossing ratio and extinction ratio.
When You Need This Option
- Clock jitter and data eye checks on high-speed serial links.
- Clock and data recovery, timing consistency and interference studies.
Compatibility
For the MSO6000HDP Series: MSO6204HDP and MSO6104HDP. Keep the oscilloscope on the latest UNI-T firmware.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this option activated?
Buy the option from your UNI-T distributor with the oscilloscope's serial number. You receive a license certificate; register it on the License Activation page of the UNI-T website with the instrument serial number to get the license file. Copy the file to the root of a USB drive, connect it to the oscilloscope and install it from the Option Install menu. Utility > Options then shows the option as Activated, with a trial duration of Permanent.
Can I try it first, and is the license permanent?
Yes to both. Every MSO6000HDP option includes a 540-hour trial on the instrument. Once activated, the license is permanent for the life of the oscilloscope.
