MSO6000HDP-GEN Dual-Channel Arbitrary Waveform Generator Option (including Gen and Bode plot)
Overview
The MSO6000HDP-GEN enables the two built-in 50 MHz function/arbitrary waveform generator outputs on an MSO6000HDP Series oscilloscope, with Bode plot frequency-response analysis.
The two Gen Out connectors are on the front panel, so a stimulus and the measurement share one instrument and one timebase.
The option is enabled by a software license keyed to the oscilloscope's serial number and is permanent for the life of the instrument.
Key Features
- Outputs β 2 channels, 50 MHz, 312.5 MSa/s, 16-bit vertical resolution.
- Waveforms β sine (1 ΞΌHz to 50 MHz), square and pulse (to 15 MHz), ramp, noise, DC and arbitrary (to 5 MHz, 16 k points, 200 built-in shapes and 200 memory locations).
- Amplitude β 20 mVpp to 6 Vpp into high impedance, 10 mVpp to 3 Vpp into 50 Ξ©.
- Modulation and sweep β AM, FM, ASK and FSK; linear or logarithmic sweep from 1 ms to 500 s.
- Bode plot β loop analysis and PSRR from 50 Hz to 50 MHz, 1 to 1000 points, with cursor readout and result export.
When You Need This Option
- Power-supply loop-stability and PSRR measurements without a separate network analyzer.
- Driving a circuit under test with a known stimulus while capturing its response.
Compatibility
For the MSO6000HDP Series: MSO6204HDP and MSO6104HDP. Keep the oscilloscope on the latest UNI-T firmware.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the generator outputs built in?
Yes. The hardware and the two front-panel Gen Out connectors are part of every MSO6000HDP Series oscilloscope; this option license turns them on together with Bode plot.
How is this option activated?
Buy the option from your UNI-T distributor with the oscilloscope's serial number. You receive a license certificate; register it on the License Activation page of the UNI-T website with the instrument serial number to get the license file. Copy the file to the root of a USB drive, connect it to the oscilloscope and install it from the Option Install menu. Utility > Options then shows the option as Activated, with a trial duration of Permanent.
Can I try it first, and is the license permanent?
Yes to both. Every MSO6000HDP option includes a 540-hour trial on the instrument. Once activated, the license is permanent for the life of the oscilloscope.
