MSO6000HDP-CANXL Automotive Serial Bus Trigger and Decode Option (CAN-XL)
Overview
The MSO6000HDP-CANXL adds CAN-XL trigger and decode to an MSO6000HDP Series oscilloscope, for the next generation of CAN with larger payloads and higher data-phase rates.
The option is enabled by a software license keyed to the oscilloscope's serial number and is permanent for the life of the instrument.
Key Features
- Trigger conditions β frame start, frame format, ID, data, ID and data, SDT, VCID, AF, frame end, acknowledgment loss, stuff error, format error, CRC error and all errors.
- Bit rates β arbitration 10 kbps to 5 Mbps in standard steps (including 125, 250, 500 kbps and 1 Mbps), or custom; separate data-phase rate setting.
- Sources β analog channels C1βC4 or digital channels D0βD15 (digital channels need the optional UT-M15 logic probe).
- Decode workflow β Up to four decodes run at once, while running, stopped or recording, with an event list, search and CSV, HTML or PDF export of decoded events.
When You Need This Option
- Early CAN-XL ECU and gateway development.
- Mixed networks where CAN-XL runs alongside CAN-FD.
Compatibility
For the MSO6000HDP Series: MSO6204HDP and MSO6104HDP. Keep the oscilloscope on the latest UNI-T firmware.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is CAN-XL part of a bundle?
Yes. It is included in the MSO6000HDP-AUTO automotive bundle and the MSO6000HDP-BND all-protocol bundle.
How is this option activated?
Buy the option from your UNI-T distributor with the oscilloscope's serial number. You receive a license certificate; register it on the License Activation page of the UNI-T website with the instrument serial number to get the license file. Copy the file to the root of a USB drive, connect it to the oscilloscope and install it from the Option Install menu. Utility > Options then shows the option as Activated, with a trial duration of Permanent.
Can I try it first, and is the license permanent?
Yes to both. Every MSO6000HDP option includes a 540-hour trial on the instrument. Once activated, the license is permanent for the life of the oscilloscope.
