MSO6000HDP-AUTO Automotive Serial Bus Trigger and Decode Option (CAN, CAN-FD, CAN-XL, LIN, FlexRay, SENT)
Overview
The MSO6000HDP-AUTO adds six automotive buses to an MSO6000HDP Series oscilloscope in one license: CAN, CAN-FD, CAN-XL, LIN, FlexRay and SENT.
Each protocol triggers on frames, IDs, data and error conditions, and decodes alongside the analog and digital channels on the same timebase.
The option is enabled by a software license keyed to the oscilloscope's serial number and is permanent for the life of the instrument.

- CAN and CAN-FD β start, data, remote, error and overload frames, ID, data, end of frame, missing ACK and bit, stuff and CRC errors; arbitration rates 10 kbps to 5 Mbps in standard steps (including 125, 250, 500 kbps and 1 Mbps), or custom; CAN-FD data rates 250 kbps to 8 Mbps.
- CAN-XL β frame start, frame format, ID, data, SDT, VCID, AF, frame end, acknowledgment loss and stuff, format and CRC errors.
- LIN β sync, ID, data, wake, sleep and error triggers; v1.x and v2.x; 1.2 kbps to 20 kbps.
- FlexRay β start, indicators, ID, cycle, header, data, end frame and error triggers at 2.5, 5 or 10 Mbps.
- SENT β fast-channel and slow-channel (short and enhanced) triggers, including CRC and pulse errors.
- Decode workflow β Up to four decodes run at once, while running, stopped or recording, with an event list, search and CSV, HTML or PDF export of decoded events.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does AUTO include CAN-XL?
Yes. CAN-XL is included in MSO6000HDP-AUTO, and it is also sold on its own as MSO6000HDP-CANXL and included in the MSO6000HDP-BND bundle.
How is this option activated?
Buy the option from your UNI-T distributor with the oscilloscope's serial number. You receive a license certificate; register it on the License Activation page of the UNI-T website with the instrument serial number to get the license file. Copy the file to the root of a USB drive, connect it to the oscilloscope and install it from the Option Install menu. Utility > Options then shows the option as Activated, with a trial duration of Permanent.
Can I try it first, and is the license permanent?
Yes to both. Every MSO6000HDP option includes a 540-hour trial on the instrument. Once activated, the license is permanent for the life of the oscilloscope.
