UPO1202CS | 200 MHz 2Ch Digital Storage Oscilloscope

Overview

The UPO1202CS is a 200 MHz 2-channel digital storage oscilloscope with 1.0 GSa/s sample rate, 56 Mpts memory depth, and a 500,000 wfms/s waveform capture rate. It features UNI-T's Ultra Phosphor 2.0 display technology for intensity-graded waveform visualization on a 7in TFT LCD display.

The oscilloscope provides 36 automated measurements with statistics, advanced triggering (edge, pulse width, slope, video, and pattern), FFT spectrum analysis, and web-based remote control via LAN. An independent DVM module provides a dedicated digital voltmeter readout alongside the oscilloscope display. Serial bus protocol decoding is included for RS-232/UART, I²C, and SPI; CAN and LIN trigger and decode are available as the optional UPO1000CS-AUTO package.

Key Features

  • 200 MHz Bandwidth, 2 Channels — Two-channel capture at up to 200 MHz.
  • 1.0 GSa/s Sample Rate — Captures fast edges and high-frequency content with accurate timing.
  • 56 Mpts Memory Depth — Deep memory for capturing long signal records without reducing sample rate.
  • 500,000 wfms/s Capture Rate — Ultra Phosphor 2.0 display technology reveals rare signal anomalies.
  • 36 Automated Measurements — Time, voltage, frequency, and statistical measurements.
  • FFT Spectrum Analysis — Frequency domain analysis for harmonics, EMI, and spectral characterization.
  • Independent DVM Module — Dedicated digital voltmeter readout alongside oscilloscope display.
  • Web Remote Control — Browser-based access from any device on the LAN.
  • 7in TFT LCD Display — Clear waveform display with intensity-graded visualization for efficient navigation.
  • Connectivity — USB, LAN, VGA, EXT trigger, AUX output.

FFT Spectrum Analysis

The built-in FFT converts time-domain waveforms to the frequency domain, making it straightforward to identify harmonics, switching noise, clock spurs, and other spectral components. Useful for EMI troubleshooting, power supply characterization, and verifying signal purity.

Serial Bus Trigger and Decoding

RS-232/UART, I²C, and SPI trigger and decode are standard. CAN and LIN trigger and decode are available through the optional UPO1000CS-AUTO package for automotive and industrial-control debug. Decoded bus traffic overlays the waveform with field-level annotation; full-memory hardware decoding turns long captures into sub-second decode operations.

Applications

  • Electronics Education — Intuitive touchscreen interface and automated measurements for teaching labs. Advanced features support upper-level coursework.
  • Embedded Systems Development — Debug firmware and hardware interactions with deep memory capture and standard RS-232/UART, I²C, and SPI decoding (CAN and LIN available via UPO1000CS-AUTO option).
  • Power Supply Testing — Capture switching waveforms, measure ripple, and use FFT to characterize noise and harmonics.
  • Field Service — Portable enough for on-site troubleshooting with web remote control for team collaboration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which serial bus protocol decodes are included?

RS-232/UART, I²C, and SPI trigger and decode are standard. CAN and LIN are available as the optional UPO1000CS-AUTO package. CAN-FD and FlexRay are not supported on the UPO1000CS series; for those protocols see the UPO1000HD or MSO/UPO2000 families.

What is Ultra Phosphor 2.0?

Ultra Phosphor 2.0 is UNI-T's intensity-graded display technology. It shows waveform frequency of occurrence using color intensity — signals that appear more often are brighter, making it easier to distinguish normal signal behavior from rare anomalies.

Does the UPO1000CS series support mixed-signal (digital channels)?

No. The UPO1000CS series is analog-only. For mixed-signal capability with 16 digital channels, see the MSO/UPO2000 series.

Part of the UPO1000CS oscilloscope series. Both models share the same 7-inch screen, Ultra Phosphor 2.0 display engine, and 56 Mpts memory depth. See the series comparison table to compare bandwidth, channel count, and sample rate options.

Warranty

This instrument is backed by UNI-T's 3+2 Year Warranty — 3 years of standard coverage, plus 2 additional years free when you register your product. That's 5 years of total protection at no extra cost.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects and component failures under normal use conditions. UNI-T instruments are built for professional daily use, and our warranty reflects that commitment to long-term reliability.
