UTS1000-AMA Analog Demodulation Measurement Option
Overview
The UTS1000-AMA adds AM and FM analog demodulation — listen to and measure demodulated signals for radio and analog communication testing. The option is enabled by a software license keyed to the spectrum analyzer's serial number and is permanent for the life of the instrument.
Key Features
- AM/FM Demodulation — Real-time AM/FM demodulation with configurable carrier frequency.
- Audio Output — Listen to demodulated signals for quick identification.
- Modulation Measurements — AM depth and FM deviation measured automatically.
- Lifetime License Activation — activate once, owned for the life of the instrument. No subscriptions, no renewals, no maintenance fees.
When You Need This Option
The option fits the following workflows:
- Transmitter Testing — Verify AM/FM broadcast modulation quality directly on the analyzer.
- Signal Monitoring — Quickly identify unknown signals by demodulating and listening.
Compatibility
This option is compatible with all UTS1000B Series spectrum analyzers. The same capability is offered on other UNI-T spectrum analyzer families: UTS3000A, UTS3000B, UTS5000A, UTS7000A.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this option activated?
The option is enabled by a software license keyed to the spectrum analyzer's serial number. After purchase, the license is registered on the UNI-T website to generate the license file, which is then loaded onto the spectrum analyzer from a USB drive through the option-install menu. Refer to the spectrum analyzer's user manual for the step-by-step procedure.
Is the license permanent, or does it require renewal?
The license is permanent — a one-time purchase that stays active for the life of the instrument. No subscriptions, no annual renewals, and no expiration.
