The UTi730E's uncooled vanadium-oxide detector delivers 320×240 native resolution — 76,800 individual temperature measurements per frame. That is enough detail to separate a warm terminal from its neighbors in a distribution panel or to map the heat signature of a motor casing. The 8–14µm spectral band is the standard long-wave window for industrial and building thermography, where most surfaces radiate strongly.
Focus-Free Operation — Point and Shoot
There is no focus ring. The fixed-focus optical system keeps targets sharp across the working distance range a technician encounters on a walk-through, so the UTi730E captures a usable radiometric image the instant it is aimed. For survey work — checking a row of breakers, scanning a bank of motors, or sweeping a wall for moisture — that removes the single most common source of a blurred, unmeasurable thermal frame.
3.5″ IPS Display (640×480)
The 3.5-inch IPS panel shows 640×480 pixels with wide viewing angles, so the live image stays readable when the camera is held overhead or at arm's length. Live views switch between thermal-only, visible-light, blended fusion, and picture-in-picture, with an adjustable fusion ratio from 0–100% to align thermal detail against the visible scene.
Wi-Fi Image Transfer + PC Analysis Software

Full Analyzer Toolkit
On-screen measurement covers 5 spot points, 1 line, and up to 3 rectangle and 3 circle area tools simultaneously — six area methods in total. Each reports live minimum, maximum, and center temperatures, so a single frame can document a hotspot, its surroundings, and a reference area at once. Isotherm highlighting paints every pixel inside a chosen temperature band in a contrasting color, making a fault pattern jump out of the scene. The UTi730E offers six isotherm modes — Auto, Ratio, Below, Above, Section, and Manual — so the same camera handles “show me everything above 60°C” and “show me only the 40–50°C band” with equal ease.
Time-Lapse Capture
A built-in time-lapse function takes photos automatically at a user-defined interval from 10 to 1000 seconds, with an on-screen countdown timer and photo counter. It is useful for documenting a heating or cooling cycle — watching a motor reach steady-state temperature, or a heat trace warm a pipe — without a technician standing over the camera.
Hi/Lo Alarm with LED Flashlight Reminder
The alarm system flags any measured temperature that crosses a preset high or low threshold, using both an on-screen icon and the dual LED flashlight as a visual reminder. On a noisy plant floor where an audible alert can be missed, the flashlight cue keeps the operator aware that a target has exceeded its limit.
Detachable Battery — Field-Replaceable
The 5200 mAh lithium-ion pack uses a snap-on design and charges through the built-in Type-C port, with a one-click capacity check on the pack itself.
