MSO5000HD-CANFD Automotive CAN-FD Serial Bus Trigger and Analysis
Overview
The MSO5000HD-CANFD adds CAN-FD (Controller Area Network with Flexible Data Rate) protocol triggering, decoding, and search to your MSO5000HD Series oscilloscope. Decoded CAN-FD frames appear overlaid on the analog waveform — protocol data and electrical signals visible simultaneously.
CAN-FD supports payloads up to 64 bytes at up to 8 Mbit/s. Standard in vehicles from 2020 onward, this decode also handles classic CAN frames on the same bus.

Do I need this if I already have classic CAN?
Yes. CAN and CAN-FD are separate protocols. CAN-FD decode also handles classic CAN frames on the same bus.
