MSO3000X-AWG Arbitrary Waveform Generator option
Overview
The MSO3000X-AWG adds a built-in arbitrary waveform generator and Bode plot analysis. Generate stimulus signals and capture responses on the same instrument — no external function generator needed.
The Bode plot function sweeps a stimulus across frequencies, measures gain and phase, and plots the diagram on screen. The fastest way to characterize filters, amplifiers, and feedback loops.

Verify DC-DC converter feedback loop phase margin. Sweep 10 Hz to the AWG limit and read gain/phase margin directly.

This option is compatible with all MSO3000X Series oscilloscopes: MSO3034X (350 MHz) and MSO3054X (500 MHz).

Is this a standalone generator replacement?
The built-in AWG handles common stimulus-response tasks. For higher amplitude, better fidelity, and complex modulation, a dedicated waveform generator is recommended.
Is Bode plot included with AWG?
Yes. Bode plot uses the AWG outputs as stimulus, so the AWG license is required. Bode plot is included at no extra cost.
How is this option activated?
You receive a license key after purchase. Enter the key in the instrument's menu under System → Options → Install. The capability is available immediately — no reboot, no hardware modification, no factory service required.
Is the license permanent or subscription-based?
All UNI-T software option licenses are permanent, one-time purchases. Once activated, the option remains available for the life of the instrument. No annual renewals or subscription fees.
