MSO2000X-SENT Automotive SENT Sensor Bus Trigger and Analysis
Overview
The MSO2000X-SENT adds SENT (Single Edge Nibble Transmission, SAE J2716) protocol triggering, decoding, and search to your MSO2000X Series oscilloscope. SENT is a point-to-point sensor interface for automotive throttle, pressure, airflow, and temperature sensors.
SENT transmits digital data on a single wire, immune to analog noise and ground offsets. This decode reads sensor data values directly from the oscilloscope screen.

- Fast and Slow Channel Decoding — Decodes fast channel (primary sensor data) and slow channel (config/diagnostics).
- Nibble-Level Display — Individual nibble values and timing overlaid on the waveform for SAE J2716 verification.
- CRC Verification — Checks CRC for every message — essential for detecting intermittent failures.
- Software License Activation — License key applied through the instrument menu. No hardware changes, no downtime — enter the key and start decoding.
