UPO1000CS-AUTO Auto serial bus trigger and analysis (CAN, LIN)
Overview
The UPO1000CS-AUTO adds CAN and LIN automotive bus triggering, decoding, and search to your UPO1000CS Series oscilloscope in a single license β the two most common vehicle network protocols.
CAN handles powertrain, body control, and diagnostics (OBD-II). LIN handles comfort and convenience systems (windows, mirrors, seats, lighting). Together they cover the bus protocols found in the majority of automotive electronics projects.
Key Features
- CAN Protocol Decode β Trigger on frame ID, data, error frames. Decoded frames overlay the analog waveform for signal-protocol correlation.
- LIN Protocol Decode β Trigger on frame IDs, data, checksum errors. Master-slave timing visible alongside electrical signals.
- Two Protocols, One License β CAN and LIN activated together at a bundled price.
- Deep Memory Search β Search captured records for specific messages or errors across the full acquisition.
- Software License Activation β License key via instrument menu. No hardware changes.
When You Need This
Vehicle Network Debug
Your project uses both CAN (ECU communication) and LIN (body electronics). One license covers both bus types.
Automotive Training
Teaching automotive electronics? CAN and LIN are the two buses every automotive engineer encounters first.
Compatible Instruments
This option is compatible with all UPO1000CS Series oscilloscopes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this include CAN-FD?
No. This bundle includes classic CAN and LIN only. CAN-FD is available on higher-tier oscilloscope series.
How is this option activated?
You receive a license key after purchase. Enter the key in the instrument's menu under System β Options β Install. The capability is available immediately β no reboot, no hardware modification, no factory service required.
Is the license permanent or subscription-based?
All UNI-T software option licenses are permanent, one-time purchases. Once activated, the option remains available for the life of the instrument. No annual renewals or subscription fees.
