UNI-T UDP6933B DC Switching Power Supply
Overview
The UNI-T UDP6933B is a 200W single-output programmable DC switching power supply delivering 0–150V at 0–5A with auto-range capability. The auto-range feature allows flexible voltage/current combinations within the rated power envelope—run high voltage at low current or high current at low voltage from a single instrument, reducing equipment costs and bench space.
The UDP6900B series includes OVP/OCP protection, list mode for programmable output sequences, slope control for soft start/stop, remote sense for accurate voltage regulation at the load, a built-in DVM, and web-based remote control. RS232, RS485, USB, and LAN interfaces support SCPI, Multi-SCPI, and Modbus RTU protocols for automated test integration. Multi-machine communication enables master/slave configurations for higher power or multi-channel setups.

Remote Sense
To avoid voltage drops caused by long wires connecting to the load, remote testing allows measurements to be made directly on the terminals of the object to be measured to improve measurement accuracy. S+ and S- are the remote measurement terminals, and + and - are the output positive and negative terminals. When using the remote measurement function, it is necessary to connect a pair of driver wires from the rear panel + and - terminals to the device to be tested, and lead S+, S- to connect to the object to be tested. Please refer to the user manual for details.

Over-Voltage/Over-Current Protection (OVP/OCP)
The UNI-T UDP6900 series includes built-in over-voltage (OVP) and over-current (OCP) protection. Users can set the protection thresholds via the front panel keys. When the set limit is exceeded, the output is automatically shut off, and an alert is displayed on the LCD screen to ensure safety.

List Output and Delay Function
The series offers both list and delay functions, allowing users to define and execute up to 512 groups of output parameters (voltage, current, and time) or switch sequences. Users can manually change parameter groups or use templates for batch settings. These functions support both internal Flash storage and external USB storage, with files saved in (.lst.csv) and (.dly.csv) formats for easy editing on a computer.

Slope Mode Options
The UNI-T UDP6900 series offers three slope modes for enhanced control: Normal, Voltage Slope (VSR), and Current Slope (ISR). In Normal mode, the voltage and current values adjust directly to the set values without the ability to configure slope parameters. In VSR mode, the voltage rises and falls according to set slope parameters, while in ISR mode, the current adjusts step by step. This allows for gradual transitions in voltage or current to meet specific testing requirements.

Auto Range Functionality
This series supports flexible combinations of voltage and current under fixed power. It can handle both high-voltage/low-current and high-current/low-voltage tests, with automatic range switching between voltage and current outputs. This is controlled by limiting the overall power output, making it ideal for a variety of testing needs.

Multiple Main Menu Options
The main menu includes functions such as monitoring, system settings, user groups, output settings, and language options. The monitor function displays real-time voltage, current, power, and DVM readings, with alarms for each channel if conditions deviate from set parameters. System settings allow configuration of backlight, sound, communication protocols, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does auto-range mean?
Auto-range means the supply can deliver any voltage/current combination within its rated power. The UDP6933B (200W) can output 150V at reduced current or 5A at reduced voltage—the power limit is the constraint, not fixed voltage or current maximums independently.
Can I connect multiple units for higher power?
Yes. The multi-machine communication feature enables master/slave configurations via RS485. Connect units in series for higher voltage or in parallel for higher current, controlled from a single master unit or via SCPI commands.
What's included with the UDP6933B?
The UDP6933B ships with the instrument, power cable, and UNI-T's 3+2 warranty (3 years standard plus 2 additional years with free registration—5 years total). Test leads and sense leads are available separately.
